Flew down to Christchurch for a week, such an experience! Walking around the city, you can really get a feel of the story behind it. Four years ago the city was hit with a massive earthquake and the damage is still so visible to this day. Despite the city's post-quake state, Christchurch has rather embraced these abandoned crumbling buildings and turned them into blank canvases of art. Beautiful murals creates splashes of color all throughout central Christchurch conveying this feeling hope and liveliness to the injured city. Coming here reminded me that even though life can be a real bitch sometimes, its so so important to always make sure you keep a positive outlook and never lose hope or else you'll end up missing out on the real beauty life has to offer. I know it's corny but it's so true. Anyways done with my sentimental rant but seriously that Christchurch cultural and art scene - really amazing.
